Website
redesign

An independent design and development studio

Your business has changed, but the website has stayed behind. I review its structure, presentation and technical constraints, identify what is worth keeping and rebuild the rest around your needs.

(01)   The scope

What needsto change

A redesign can involve individual pages or an entire website. Reviewing the current version gives us the scope.

01

Structure and content

Rework navigation, introduce new services and remove outdated material so visitors can understand the offer more easily.

02

Visual language

Bring the website closer to the character of the business through composition, typography, imagery and mobile layouts.

03

Implementation and migration

Choose a suitable technical foundation. Account for content migration, forms, integrations and changes to page addresses.

Keep what matters.Rethink the rest.

An update starts with understanding what already works. Existing content, page addresses and familiar user journeys should be considered before the new design takes shape.

(03)   The process

Understand first.Then make changes.

A link to your current website and a short description are a useful starting point. We assess the existing platform and functionality before estimating the work.

  1. 01

    Review the existing website

I examine pages, navigation and key journeys. We discuss what has changed in the business and what needs improving.

  2. 02

    Plan the update

We decide what to retain and what to rebuild. I develop the structure and visual direction for the new version.

  3. 03

    Design and develop

I build the new pages and agreed functionality. Content and integrations are migrated within the defined scope.

  4. 04

    Move to the new version

I check forms, links and mobile behaviour. Changes to URLs require a migration map and redirects.

(04)   Budget and timeline

The scope of changeshapes the estimate

A new homepage and a full rebuild with data migration require different scopes of work. I start with your current version and its constraints.

Estimated after a website review

Built around your needs

Page types, content, platform, integrations and migration determine the budget and timeline.

(05)   Before we talk

Before we begin

Does the whole website need rebuilding?

Not always. Changes to a few page structures or their presentation may be enough. The review helps establish what is needed.

Can we keep the existing platform?

That depends on its condition and the changes required. I assess the constraints and feasibility before committing to a particular platform.

What happens to search rankings?

Existing URLs, content and metadata need consideration, with redirects where addresses change. A redesign can affect rankings; a loss-free migration cannot be guaranteed in advance.

What do you need to get started?

Send the website address and a few sentences about the changes you want. We can discuss source files, access and analytics at the next step.
